zz-drop is free and open-source software, licensed under MIT OR Apache-2.0 at your choice. The full license text is shipped with every release and lives in the project repository.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you transfer and for keeping your local profile passphrase. We cannot recover an encrypted profile if the passphrase is lost. We cannot recover files held by a third-party cloud provider on your behalf.
Third-party providers
When you configure a profile pointing at Nextcloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, your relationship with that provider is governed by their terms — not ours. zz-drop is a client; it acts on your behalf using credentials you provide.
